Kellan Lutz In 'Interview' Magazine

Kellan Lutz doesn't want to be a sex icon—or so he says in Interview magazine.
The Twilight hunk, who is posing shirtless and wet for the mag, humbly claims that he doesn't get why people think he has sex appeal. Right, well, we don't totally get that statement coming from the half-naked guy whose abs we could grate cheese on.
But since Kel's such an animal lover, we'll try to ignore the self-deprecating remark.
Says Lutz:
"It's funny when people say you have sex appeal or call you the next Brad Pitt. I just laugh. I'm not that. I don't want to be that. 'You're a sex icon.' Why? Because I played a vampire in a movie? It's all very unearned. If I had the best freaking abs in the world or if I looked like Brad Pitt does in Fight Club [1999], then cool, but I'm not starving myself. I eat what I want, and I'm not a workout fiend. My genetics are good, but they aren't crazy He-Man style. I don't get it, but I appreciate it. [laughs]"
Anyone sensing a Pitt man-crush here? Hotness!
Really though, it looks like someone is taking a page from Robert Pattinson's aw-shucks playbook, and it seems to be working out well for both the babes.
Still, Kel wants to make sure everyone knows he wants to be a serious actor and not rely on his knee-quavering physique.
"It just blows my mind how many people think that because I was a model, I think I'm pretty and that I can use my looks to get ahead," Kellan tells Interview. "I'm not pretty!"
We're sure still on-again GF AnnaLynne McCord would disagree. Why else does she keep running back to your muscly arms?
Kellan stars in the upcoming Nightmare on Elm Street remake, and we're actually looking forward to seeing what Lutz has got. Tho it might not be the best movie to judge from, anything is a step up from his one line in New Moon.
We say keep the sexy coming, Kel! You can be hot and talented in this town, trust. We'd be devastated if those beach frolics and shirtless runs were to stop coming our way.
