First and last tweet from Pattinson

'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson has sent out his first and last Twitter message.

Digital Spy reports that the teen heartthrob was urged to Tweet by actor Peter Facinelli who plays his father, Carlisle Cullen, in the vampire franchise.

A message was posted on Facinelli's account which said "Thanks a million. Here's Rob. Hi, it's Rob... My first and last Tweet. My dad made me do it." Facinelli added "At least you know he doesn't have a Twitter account. Down with the posers."

The third installment in the Twilight franchise is currently being filmed in Canada.
